ACTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Because I am deluged with requests to help young performers get started in Hollywood, I have developed a program to help develop acting and audition skills and to prepare for a move to Hollywood. This program will require access to a video camera , fax and e-mail. This is how it works.
A registration of fee of $10 is needed to start the program with payments of $45 upon completion of each segment so you can continue on to the next level. There is no huge outlay of money and you can participate at your own pace.
The actor registers for each segment of the program upon completion of the first so there is no huge outlay of money.
STEP ONE
Send a video tape with the interview and the material provided with SEGMENT ONE. Pay the $45 feedback fee at the time the first video tape is shipped.
STEP TWO
You will receive feedback and specific suggestions after we have viewed the first tape and you will be provided with additional instructions and material for the second segment. You will also receive helpful information regarding headshots and resumes as well as information about the industry in Los Angeles. When you have completed segment two, send it to L.A. with second payment of $45.
STEP THREE, FOUR, FIVE
As you complete each segment, you will move on to another level. If we feel that you need to re-work a segment you will be asked to do so and will ship out a tape with $25 payment for second review and feedback. With each segment you complete you will receive additional information to assist you in making a move to Los Angeles-- information on housing, where to study when you get here, photographers and coaches to work with here, SAG, suggestions on wardrobe, dressing the part,etc. We will also assist you in obtaining appointments with agencies here and in some circumstances, we may be able to arrange for an agent to review a level five tape while you are still out-of-state. If they indicate they are interested and schedule you for an interview, your trip here is less risky!

Two people can work together and perform scenes together which will increase the believeability for you. Send one tape, save on shipping costs plus save $10 on all segments after the first one.

WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT IN EACH SEGMENT
SEGMENT ONE
- Participate in a general interview, responding to questions we provide to you
- Choose one or two of several commercials to perform
- Choose a promo or host intro to perform
- Perform one of the monologues we provide or one of your own
The initial packet will include some general information about the opportuntiies in Los Angeles, what to expect in an agent search, best times to try L.A., etc.
SEGMENT TWO
- Improve your on-camera interview
- Perform two new commercials using props or product
- Perform a “stand-up” with a partner (real or make-believe)
- Prepare for a TV audition
- Develop a back story for the sides you are given
- Develop your character
- Cold read with materials in hand
- Continue to polish a monologue
SEGMENTS THREE, FOUR, FIVE
- These will provide new material to work on which will further develop your skills and technique
In each segment, our feedback will address the following:
Personality and presentation on camera Body stance and movement / physicality Use of voice -- vocal power, clarity, believeability Use of eyes -- positive use rather than negative Believability of performance Finetuning performances Strengthening the character Technical suggestions for on-camera work
