Actiontec GT-701 PPPoA Installation

  Please plug in the Actiontec and using a network cable, connect your
computer's network connection to the Actiontec's network connection.  
Wait about one minute for the Actiontec to start up, then press and hold
the "reset" button on the back of the Actiontec for 15 solid seconds with
a pen tip.  After letting go of the reset button, wait about 1 minute for
the modem to fully reboot.  The modem power light should flash when it
reboots.  If the power light doesn't flash at least once, please unplug
the modem power, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in.  Then please do
the following:

1) Go to http://192.168.0.1/ in your web browser.
2) Click "Setup / Configuration".
3) Click "Begin Advanced Setup", click "Next".
4) Choose "Obtain and address through PPPoA".
   Click "Next".
5) If you see "PPP auto connect", select the box.
   If you see "Encapsulation", select "VC-MUX".
   Username: ppp
   Password: ppp
      Please use all lowercase for username and password.
   Leave "Static IP" blank.
   Click "Next".
6) Click "Save and Restart" on the bottom
   of the left column.
7) Click "Save and Restart".

Thats it, the Actiontec should be set up.  It will take 1 minute to
reboot.  The Internet and DSL lights should go on and solid green.  You
should then be able to use your computer(s) on the Internet.
