Actiontec GT-701 Installation 

1) Insert Actiontec CD into your CDROM drive.
2) Check the box for "Initial Setup", click "Next".
3) Select the appropriate modem option, click "Next".
4) Select "I Agree", click "Next".
5) Select "Ethernet" for "Which port the DSL modem...", Click "Next".
6) Click "Next" for the next 4 Screens.
7) Select "Other ISP", click "Next".
8) Select "RFC 1483" for your static IP configuration, click "Next".
9) Select Static IP ,then click "Next".
10) Enter the following, then click "Next".

	IP Address: <enter IP address assigned by Zipcon>
	Subnet: <enter subnet assigned by Zipcon>
	Gateway: <enter gateway assigned by Zipcon>
	DNS 1: 209.221.136.4
	DNS 2: 209.221.136.9

11) Wait Actiontec Installation buddy to configured your network.
12) Click Finish.

At this point, the Actiontec DSL modem will be using your static IP
address, and your computer will hide behind the connection.  This
configuration uses NAT and is technically more secure than having the
Actiontec DSL modem in transparent bridging mode.  However, using NAT can
be problematic if you are using a VPN or playing games.

If you would like the Actiontec DSL modem to just bridged the connection,
so your computer(s) have the real IP address(es) directly on it, and your
directly connected to the Internet, please follow these directions.

1) Go to http://192.168.0.1/ in your web browser.
2) Click on "Setup/Configuration".
3) Click on "Advanced Setup" on the left side.
4) Click the "Begin Advanced Setup" button, click Next.
5) Choose "Transparent bridging", click Next.
7) Continue to click Next for the next few screens...
	Wireless... default, Next.
	LAN IP Address... default, Next.
	DHCP... OFF, Next.
	DHCP Server Configuration... OFF, Next.
	Service Blocking... default, Next.	
	Website Blocking... default, Next.
	VPN Passthrough... default, Next.
	Remote Management... default, Next.
	Port Forwarding... default, Next.
	DMZ Hosting...default, Next.
	Firewall Security Level ...default, Next.
	Dynamic Routing ...default, Next.
	NAT... OFF, Next.
8) For "Static Routing", enter the following:
	Subnet IP: <enter you IP address, but remove the last digit
		and replace it with 0.  For instance 63.249.15.10
		would become 63.249.15.0
	Subnet Mask: <enter subnet assigned by Zipcon>
	Gateway IP: <enter gateway assigned by Zipcon>

	Click Add then Next.
	MAC Address Cloning... default, Next.

Thats it, choose to save and restart and the Actiontec should be set up in
transparent bridging mode.  You should now be able to configure your
static IP address(es) on your computer(s).  The Actiontec modem will no
longer use an IP address.

If you ever need to reconfigure the Actiontec, you can either set your
computer's IP address to 192.168.0.2 and go to http://192.168.0.1/ .  You
can also reset the modem to default settings by holding down the reset
button for 15 seconds, while the modem is powered on.
