Okay. Here we go. Initial impression is that Hong Kong is really not that big area-wise. The populated part Hong Kong Island itself is smaller than Manhattan. As a result, the buildings are tall and thin. The high risers can be four apartments to a floor and have thirty stories. The word is, is that there are no earthquakes here. There are a fair number of people. Billy has told me that it is the most densely populated city of the World. Coming from Seattle where public transport is awful, Hong Kong is a dream. Ferries, subway, trams and busses transport the teeming masses cheaply, quickly and cleanly. Eating and drinking are not permitted in the paid areas of the Subway. It’s hot as a pair of rats X#@!ing in a wool sock but air conditioning is fairly ubiquitous including on the ferries, which is nice.
