Through
years of experience we have found that tutoring is most
successful when the tutor, family, and classroom teachers collaborate
with the student to achieve greater success.
Tutors talk
with
parents after each session to explain what the student worked
on
and what tasks are on the weekly planner. We are often able
to
identify new ways in which parents and students can work together
between tutoring sessions.
We also confer
with classroom
teachers
on a regular basis. Just as a triangle provides structural
strength, the triangle of family, school, and tutor builds strength and
self reliance in students.
